Consider Installing a Ductless Air Conditioning System This Summer

There are a wide variety of air conditioning systems available on the market, each offering their own unique advantages. If you’re in the market for a new air conditioning system this summer, consider installing a ductless air conditioner. Read on to find out more about ductless air conditioning systems, and the advantages they can offer you this summer.

Ductless Air Conditioning

Ductless air conditioners use individual air handlers to condition each room, rather than a single large air handler to circulate output through ductwork. Each air handler is installed on either the wall or the ceiling of the room it’s meant to condition, with up to four air handlers connected to a single outside unit. Each air handler also has its own thermostat, which allows it to operate separately from the rest of the system. Like all heat pumps, ductless systems are able to offer both heating and air conditioning functions by reversing their refrigerant flows.

Advantages of Ductless Air Conditioning

Ductless air conditioning systems offer a lot of advantages over traditional air conditioning systems. Individual thermostats in each room allow you to set the ideal temperature for each part of your house. No more wasting energy on rooms that don’t need it, or having to deal with hot and cold spots thanks to differences in the insulation. The ability to act as both a heating and air conditioning system is a huge advantage over both normal air conditioning and heating systems. By installing a ductless system, you can make your home both more comfortable and more energy efficient.
