Convert Your Oil to Gas Today!

wall-radiatorOil, gas, electric … what’s the difference? As long as they heat your home and keep you comfortable throughout the winter, that’s all that matters right? Well, unless you like wasting your hard-earned money, it couldn’t be further from the truth!

You might have heard about oil to gas conversions, or you might not have. Either way, it is something to keep on your radar. While oil and gas systems might do the job when it comes to heating your home, depending on your location, it might save you a lot of money and decrease the number of headaches you receive in a year because of those pesky oil deliveries. Also, if you’re dealing with an obnoxious heating repair in Montgomery County, PA and you know that gas might be cheaper than your already faulty oil system, perhaps it is time for gas conversion.

It’s fine if you’re still not sure. We have some points about gas conversion that will hopefully shed more light on it for you!

What’s the Difference?

We hear this all the time. The truth of the matter is, there are plenty of differences between an oil and gas system. We’re positive if more people knew this, they would look into converting their heater to gas.

  • No Fuel Outages. The absolute worst part about having an oil-fueled heater is that it requires constant oil deliveries. If you’re not careful, or forgot once about your scheduled delivery, you could be without heat in the middle of the winter. This is just unacceptable and something homeowners shouldn’t have to deal with. A gas heating system has a direct line of natural gas that never needs to be refueled.
  • More Affordable. It’s simple. Natural gas will lower your monthly heating bills by a significant amount. Gas-powered heaters are much less expensive to run than oil heaters or electric systems.
  • Increased Efficiency. The conversion to natural gas can save 30% on fuel costs. Natural gas appliances work quickly, efficiently, and produce more heat with fewer resources than an oil system.
  • Environmentally Friendly. Even though natural gas is a fossil fuel, it’s the cleanest burning fossil fuel we currently use. There’s no need for expensive and potentially disastrous deliveries from oil tankers that could leak or spill. Natural gas is a great stepping stone to reducing your carbon emissions.

A Domestic Product

One lesser-known benefit of natural gas over oil is that natural gas it is primarily domestic. We produce the bulk of our natural gas here in the US. Oil is often foreign import that must be negotiated for and eventually delivered, usually across the ocean. Natural gas decreases our dependence on foreign imports and gives the bulk of your money to domestic energy producers.

We could go on forever about the benefits of a natural gas heating system—but at the end of the day, it is your decision. Some areas of the country don’t offer natural gas, so we find that here in the Bucks and Montgomery Counties, we’re fortunate to have a cheaper alternative than oil.
